Anna was born and raised in the Chicago area and dogs have always played an important role in her life. She realized from a young age that the more time she could spend with dogs, the happier she was. When she was 4 months old, her parents got their first dog Flash (a female Scottish deerhound). Anna and Flash formed an immediate bond and Anna can't imagine her childhood without her. When Anna was in high school, her family got their second dog Rufus (a HUGE Irish Wolfhound - 39" tall at the shoulder and 160 lbs). Rufus became a part of their family and despite his passing 9 years ago, he is still remembered and talked about often. Rufus gave Anna extensive experience with handling larger dogs and taught her how much laughter and joy an animal can bring into your life. Anna enjoys walking dogs because it gives her the opportunity to care for and cuddle with amazing animals. When she is not walking dogs, Anna enjoys teaching yoga, taking photographs around the city and serving coffee at a local cafe.
